Tendvane has no telemetry. Everything runs locally on your PC and nothing about you is uploaded — there's no account and no cloud. Its checks are deterministic (no AI guessing), and changes that matter are reversible.

Installing drivers, changing system settings and creating restore points all require administrator rights, so Tendvane starts elevated and Windows asks for permission each launch. It only performs the actions you choose.

That's SmartScreen, shown because the app isn't code-signed yet. Click More info → Run anyway. Code signing is on the roadmap to remove this warning.

Auto Update creates a System Restore point first by default, and only installs catalog drivers newer than what you have. If Windows declines an update (common on laptop GPUs), Tendvane tells you honestly and points to the vendor's own updater rather than forcing it.

Yes where it counts: duplicate photos and Windows Installer leftovers go to the Recycle Bin, and the registry cleaner exports a backup before removing anything. Restore points are created before driver/tweak batches.

HEIC needs Windows' free HEIF Image Extensions (the same component File Explorer uses). If Explorer shows your .heic thumbnails, Tendvane will too; if not, install "HEIF Image Extensions" from the Microsoft Store and re-scan.

By itself it only shows live connections per app — it never changes Windows Firewall. A rule is created only when you click Block on an app (with confirmation), and you can Allow it again from the same list.

If you used the installer, remove it from Settings → Apps → Installed apps (or Control Panel → Programs) like any other program. The portable build leaves nothing behind — just delete the .exe.
